I just got it out of the box yesterday, so I haven’t even had a chance to wash it, let alone use it. Some observations: •It arrived swiftly and was well packaged. •It is substantial. There’s some heft to it. •The parts were cut well and fit into the slots easily. •The bamboo is smooth and I’ve felt no rough spots. •I already love that the three pieces are stowable into the tray below so it takes up little space and can be stored upright beside my bread machine. •Mine has no noxious smell like other reviewers have mentioned. •I like that it has grooves for thin or thick slicing. I was bad at slicing by just eying a loaf. Half of each slice would either be too thick or too thin for the toaster.I think I’m going to like this slicer.Update: I’ve used it a couple times now. I know now it makes evenly-sized slices (that’s what I’d hoped) and that the longer the bread knife, the better.

The only issue we have is that the sides are not quite tall enough to make lining up the cutting blade with its corresponding slots. To get around this I have to first cut the loaf in two lengthwise. That isn’t a big problem but it does rankle my wife.

The back piece won’t stay attached to it but other then that it’s sturdy

I am very pleased with this Bamboo slicer. Bread can be cut very thin or a little thicker. It works very well. The crumbs, as you are slicing the bread, fall in the tray.

Bamboo bread slicer received on time. Looks good, haven’t used it yet. One side is warped, but was able to force it into slot. I am hoping it will work out.

This is an ok product, does not always cut through entire loaf of bread, take the bread out and it still needs to be cut. Just cut your bread on your own, this is not something I would recommend, just take the time to do it yourself. Not worth the money we paid.

Easy to clean and use.

Of course, I could cut the loaf free hand but, it is must easier to get straight cuts using this. So far, I am happy with this purchase.
