   I got this low-profile container for my Vitamix 5200 because I thought the wider base would be better for smaller batches since more surface area would be exposed. I was wrong — the taller, less wide container is better since it keeps the ingredients close together. Even better, I suppose, would be purchasing a smaller container. Still, this container is still better if you want to keep your blender on the counter, under your cabinets, without sacrificing capacity. Because the blade assembly is permanently attached at the base, It cleans just as easily as the tall container by whirring hot water and soap.– Debbie Lee Wesselmann

   Get this pitcher!! Everything blends much better with the low profile pitcher. We used to have to stop the machine and stir it up but not anymore! The only time this wouldn’t be your best choice is if you are making single serve. It splashes and sprays it on the sides too much when I make small amounts. But for large quantities, this low profile pitcher gets the food to the blades better with its wide base and longer blades.I just got off the phone with customer service. Amazing customer service experience! This place is 5 stars. They stand behind their product no matter what. The machine itself is a beast. (I realize this review is for a pitcher.) That motor is whirling several times a day every single day at my house. We visit family and we bring it with us! And our relatives love that their guests provide a delicious healthy breakfast for everyone. I mean, we are 100% Vitamix fans.My husband makes healthy smoothies/ shakes everyday. My four kids are ridiculously picky and they get most of their nutrients in their daily smoothie at breakfast. I make hummus and I bring it to most parties because it’s such a crowd pleaser. We are buying a huge chunk of our fruit as frozen and that saves us money (frozen fruit is much cheaper than fresh fruit). I love that we consume so much fruit! And I make hummus for parties instead of other dishes. Hummus is cheap to make!! The trick to smooth hummus is an awesome blender. (Canned Goya beans are best)Get this! You won’t be sorry.

   I recently replaced my original tall blender pitcher after 10+ years of heavy use with this lower profile one and am super thrilled. It’s easier to clean since it is wider and blends beautifully, and fits perfectly under my cabinets. I hesitated buying this sinceil it is pricey but it is definitely worth it (and my old plastic pitcher got pretty opaque from heavy use). Make sure to check compatibility, but I’m pretty sure this is universal since my blender is the CIA version from circa 2013.

   First of all, I ordered this product; however, it did not arrive. Finally, I received a message that it would not be delivered, my money was refunded promptly. What I can say, is that the Vitamix is fantastic appliance to own. I would recommend the Vitamix overall.

   I considered a smaller container but am very happy I chose the 64oz low profile one. I think that, even when blending a smaller amount, there needs to be room for the vitamix to do it’s job effectively.

   It is VERY expensive.It blended up a pound and a half of ginger QUICK! I didnt even have to use the tamper, it is so much better then the standard one. Love it!
