The product looked and worked fine, was a little expensive, but if you dont want the hassle of starting from scratch its worth it. I really wish the seller would list the compatible devices this works for, because this definitely does not work for the terra, despite some one answering my question that it did. You can buy an adapter for this that will make it work for the terra. $150 for the 5lb co2, $42 for this and $30 for the adapter $222 grand total to make it work going this route.

The threads for the bottle connection on the unit I received had been damaged, along with all other threaded unions being loose. After disassembling and chasing the threads I was able to make it work.Still a good deal easier than making your own though, and far more convenient than the small c02 cannisters

The inclusion of two instruction sheets gave me the confidence I needed. It was really easy to set up, and I didnโt have any problems. The hose slipped right out the bottom of the sodastream behind the credenza and into the cabinet with out needing any modifications. I like the pressure gauge that tells me I still have CO2. Buried in the comments youโll find that itโs made of food safe materials, I wonder why they donโt tout it in the product info directly though.

This kit is fantastic. We have a soda stream and a 10lb tank and this kit works perfectly with it. LOVE it!The only downside is setting it up. The directions have only pictures and the hose comes with two plastic gaskets that need to be inserted. It is a freaking hard thing to do. The nuts are sooooo tight. Even with wrenches it was very hard. Only got the large white gasket in. Small red one is still not in, just can’t get that damned nut off! Currently working without the gasket and not appearing to leak so ?

I bought a 5 lb tank. It is still almost full after 2 months of daily use. 27$ to refill the tank as opposed to 15/30 for replacement cartridges from the mfgr.So happy that I bought it! Wish i could give it 20 stars, 5 is just not enough.

I have to admit I was pretty skeptical. I have one of the first and simplest Sodastream makers (canister holders) and figured there might be some serious issues retrofitting an old but full CO2 canister my brother in law cast off from his old keg fridge. Didn’t I need a regulator? Was this going to blow the seals? was that hose going to be strong enough? After using this for several months I can say that this is everything you need. No regulator needed – the gauge shows a constant near 1000 psi. I cut a notch in the bottom of my Sodastream to accommodate the hose through the base and it works great. In the first month I had a couple issues with some kind of back-pressure, but there is a bleeder valve near the pressure gauge, so it’s easy enough to cure. Really no issues since then. Maybe eventually this setup will kill the seals, but so far, in savings it’s paid for itself, and a replacement Sodastream base if it comes to that.Update: was having an issue again with not getting CO2 through the nozzle, so I went through the process of tearing everything down to see if there were issues with the seals. After looking at how the entire system is designed, I wound up resolving the issue by running a small needle through the end of the nozzle that injects into the water bottle to dislodge some piece of debris that found its way into the system. This is something that could happen even with the regular bottle exchange – and is perhaps even more likely with more frequent changes. After examining the connections and essentially very simple design of the system, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that you would be extremely unlikely to have “seals” fail (and that cleaning a blocked nozzle is something that can be done without tearing down the entire system). If the bottle is over-full, you can get some leakage through the pressure seal especially on the first injection, but after air drying between uses, it’s an occasional minor annoyance that is easily prevented by either not exceeding the fill line or using a more gentle press on the first injection.

I used this to hook up a 5 lbs CO2 tank to my Drink Mate. Installing was quite easy other than getting the gasket in to hook up to my tank, that took a fair amount of force.I have yet to have any leaks and it has operated as expected. Overall this will save me a great deal of money on my soda water consumption.
