   Whether you’re on a keto diet or not, if you eat a lot of bacon, this is something you just really need to have in your life, TRUST ME! I make a LOT of bacon – usually organic turkey bacon – and this is such a HUGE time saver during meal prep and cooking, especially when bacon is just part of a recipe, like crumbled up in an omelette. I love not having to heat up the stove top and the house and hand wash a pan all for a few slices of bacon. This makes it SO EASY! I can drape 3 slices over each hanger. The more bacon you use the longer it needs to cook. I did find that the cook times for my microwave varied from the instructions, which also could have something to do with the fact that I mainly cook turkey bacon instead of pork. For turkey bacon I find that the cook time is a little longer than for pork. For 3 slices, I find that about 3 to 3.5 minutes is perfect. They come out cripsy and delicious! Folded in half, sure, but who cares about shape!? When you’re done it’s easy to hand wash the pieces or throw them in the dishwasher. The only things that could make it better:1) If the pieces that you drape the bacon over were just a hair taller for those really long strips. Yes, the bacon shrinks as you cook it, but I find that some of my bacon starts out a little longer than the holders.2) You have to drape paper towel over the whole thing if you don’t want it to splatter everywhere while it cooks. I do this religiously but grease still manages to splatter out the sides. I really wish this came with a custom splatter guard meant for it3) One of the bacon holders warped in the dishwasher. Be careful how and where you wash them.All that said I absolutely LOVE this thing and use it almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day. It’s a huge time saver and breakfast game changer! I HIGHLY recommend. And yes, I paid full price for this. I hope this review was helpful to you! Let me know if you have any questions.

   I’m convinced that if you want a microwave bacon cooker, this is the best you could get. I won’t be using mine again, though, because I don’t wanna clean the microwave every time. (A large, deep pot almost completely covered with a lid is what I’ve discovered really does the job).Here’s the thing: Bacon spatters everywhere when moisture comes in contact with the liquid fat. What I learned from this microwave experiment is that the bacon itself, while it’s cooking, releases moisture into the microwave, from which it cannot escape. Even while covered completely (from side to side) with a paper towel, the steam it released was laden with fat. After I cooked my perfect bacon in the microwave, I had to clean off the inside of the door, and put the turntable in the dishwasher.Not much different than having to clean off a stovetop, if you ask me.

   I’ve purchased several of these over the years.. the first one lasted a couple of years. the clear plastic divider warps over time.. but like i said.. the first one lasted a couple of years. Worked so well I gave a couple as gifts. Then when I replaced it because it had cracked in the center.. I was expecting to get at least another couple of years out of it.. nope.. after about 8 months. .cracked in the center and was leaking bacon grease all over the microwave. Since my first one did so well, I felt this might have just been a flawed one.. so I trashed it and replaced it again in March of this year.. And now. Sept 2022. Again with the crack and breaking in the center and leaking bacon grease everywhere again. Whatever they have changed in the manufacuring in the last few years is not working. i would love to buy another one because the other brands I’ve tried just don’t work well. Presto, Please fix the design flaw!

   I used a similar product that also suspends the bacon slices with “T” shaped supports and the thick bacon slices that I cooked with it allowed the unsupported ends of the bacon slices to touch each other. This resulted that the top half of the bacon slices cooked much differently than the bottom half of the bacon slices that touched each other because they were not separated. This item provided bacon slices that were uniformly cooked from top to bottom because of the separation.

   3rd and final time buying this. First, let me start off with how much I LOVE what it does and how it cooks the bacon letting the grease drop down for extra crispy bacon. However, this is my 3rd purchase because of the same problem others have stated on here: the base keeps cracking in the middle, which leaks bacon grease everywhere and is essentially unusable once it happens. As someone else noted, my first purchase lasted about 2+ years before cracking where my 2nd one that I just bought in 2021 barely lasted a few months. What changed?! Also, the price has skyrocketed and has went up nearly 1/3 of the original price of $12 back in 2019…this will be my final time replacing it…

   Bottom split releasing grease. Used 2-3 times a week for about 4 months. Was great until then. Hand washing would be a pain. Do not plan to buy another.
