I bought this to use on my mom’s kitchenaid stand mixer to make fresh ravioli for the holidays.It was significantly easier than my hand crank pasta machine. What usually takes hours was reduced to maybe 20 minutes of rolling out dough.You do have to flatten the dough enough for the rollers to grab and pull it through – you can’t just stick a huge blob in the top – but after one or two tries you’ll get the hang of it. The little rollers spin very well, and spun so smoothly and cleanly that I wondered if they were actually going at first.Worked very well. If you already own a stand mixer, invest in one of these if you want to make pasta over the hand crank stands. If you do a lot of baking but don’t own a stand mixer, this will give you one more reason to get one!Hand crank machines work great on a budget, but no denying this little luxury was helpful.

My pasta roller broke and it was part of a set: pasta roller; spaghetti maker; and fettuccine maker. I was happy to be able to replace the one piece, the pasta roller, as opposed to the whole set! It worked just fine and I highly recommend it!

Definitely a great value product. Sizing between settings seems a little off and they are backwards (I.e. #1 is the thinnest setting rather than largest like most rollers). The jump between 4 and 3 is pretty significant so it helps to have a softer dough.

Purchased this pasta roller in early June 2022 to replace a KitchenAid version. Used it once and it worked just fine so thought it was a solid replacement. However, just tried to use it again today for the 2nd time (Sept 2022) and only one of the 2 rollers is turning now, thus, it doesn’t work. Spent a very frustrating day hand rolling pasta dough for a dinner party which took time I wasn’t expecting to need so had to scramble. Took 4 x longer than it would have if my roller was working. Very disappointed and I assume I can no longer return it. I do not see any way to contact the seller. UPDATE: I fiddled around with it this morning and it is working now. So I’ve upgraded my rating to a 3. If it continues to work in future I will upgrade it again. Strange.

My Kitchen Aid roller broke a plastic gear after 15 years. Bought this one to save money. It meets my need but is not equal to Kitchen Aid.1: the numbers are reversed. On Kitchen Aid 1 is largest opening and is the starting point. On this one it is smallest opening. If recipe calls for rolling to a certain number this one may be wrong. My Italian hand crank roller has number settings that match Kitchen Aid.2. Smallest opening is larger than smallest opening on Kitchen Aid so May not be small enough for some applications. Both rollers have a big setting step between 1 and 2 but this is at opposite end of range since numbers are backwards.
