These are oddly a touch thicker, than the last ones I had of the same brand. And they tear easily, so take care in removing them from your coffee filter. We dispose of the grounds in our yard. Compost, great for Blueberries, etc. And keeps the extra weight out of our trash, heavy coffee drinkers here.

I prefer Melita pour over coffee to make a stunning cup of joe. I have a morning ritual to brew dark roast beans, ground & purchased from local Armenian market. I boil water, pour over perfect #4 filter. The frother, splashed with almond milk &half and half, creates a lovely foam. Expresso in favorite Demi-Tasse, 2 spoons of foam, neatly knived across top. Voilà. I achieve a flat white, the ultimate order in cafes nationwide. I’m happy to hear this creation is a favorite cafe among celebrities: Gwyneth Paltrow, the Jonah wife, Ariana Grande @ The Ivy, Left Coast.! The unique shape of Melitta cone dictates one must use Melitta white or brown filter, never Mr. Coffee. @ the beginning of pandemic I was creative. I wasn’t supposed to go out. There were aisle of empty shelves in all markets. Forgive me, Melitta Corp. I made origami filters for your cone out of paper towels. We got over this. I have brown filters back. I respect Melitta’s commitment to sustainability. The brown ones have micro perforations for optimal robust taste & are compostable. Cool. R & D Team, good job. Melitta’s joined forces with Global ReLeaf, which provides green education & an improved environment. Súper!
