She was right for doing it. If they’re out on the counter then they need to be covered unless you particularly want to dust them all the time. And if they’re especially close to where you cook then any airborne oil gets on them and the dust sticks to that. Let’s think for a moment about a toaster or a blender or a mixer – even a lid for an instant pot; dust/oil is going to clog them up, it’s going to make it gross and it could in fact make your small appliance malfunction. These keep my small kitchen appliances clean.These covers are sturdy, nice to look at, easy to clean and the pockets are wonderful to put the booklets or little odds and ends that come with small appliances. This is well they’re made, matches my others and their price. I have small kitchen appliances that date back to 1986 that still work. Why? When product came it was all folded up. Wrinkles galore ! Used a hairdryer to try and take some of the wrinkles out but barely took out any.

I previously purchased this same exact cover for the Kitchenaid Artisan 5.0 Qt stand mixer. I had a 5.0 qt size for about two years and it has held up nicely. I wiped the cover off with a sponge which was all it needed to be cleaned. The fabric is heavy-duty nylon which really looks nice and fits well on the mixer. It is exactly the right length to keep it covered, out of sight, while protecting the mixer. I regifted my 5.0 mixer to my future daughter-in-law. When I shipped the mixer I folded the dust cover up and shipped it right in the box. When I visited them a few weeks ago the stand mixer with the cover was on her counter and it looked brand new. Last month I purchased a larger Kitchenaid Pro Line 7.0 Qt stand mixer and bought another Luxja cover exactly the same except in the larger size. The only thing I would say to Luxja is to make it available in more colors. :))
