I say hope, because expectations with KitchenAid gear can be hit or miss, but I definitely have high hopes!FYI – I primarily make cookie dough with my mixer. So my old beater – the one included with the mixer, that is – the issue was that I’d have to clean the dough off of it pretty thoroughly with a spatula or something and even if you slapped it against the side of the bowl, dough is sticky. So yeah, you’re there with a spatula or knife or something, scraping excess dough from the beater into the bowl. This guy solves that problem for the most part, though. You’ll of course need to still scrape dough (or batter, or anything slightly wet) from the blades, but I’ve found that you can just swipe them directly against the rim of the bowl (like you’re cleaning a spatula) and you can skip the spatula altogether – nice.My only beef is that once I’ve made dough I’m finding myself having to lower the bowl, pull the beater, mix the dough up a bit, then replace the beater and run it a little more to get a homogeneous dough. The butter and sometimes dry ingredients will coalesce around the point of the beater and not go anywhere, so you have to make it happen manually. That’s a star. So… it’s a nice beater. However rather than taking work away from the process, it moves it to another area, with the whole remixing thing. A solid 4 stars.

I got this to use at work and the metal construction was key. It’s been used several times a day 5 days a week for 2 months in the kitchen of the restaurant I work in, and still hasn’t chipped the finish or shown any signs of deteriorating. Had to be coated stainless steel to withstand abuse by others and the commercial dishwasher, and that it does. Well worth putting my own money into it because the only other attachment they had available was the wire whip and that was a huge pain for mixing brownies. This sometimes misses the bottom and has product that creeps over the top that I have to scrape back in so that’s why it’s only 4 stars. For this price and being a non-branded attachment it’s definitely doing it’s job and making mine easier and more efficient.

I was excited about this item. I love my kitchenaid but hate having to scrape the bowl. I was super excited about this paddle scraper. Checked, double checked and triple checked to make sure I purchased the correct size. I definitely did but unfortunately, there’s more hype to this product than actual performance. It didn’t do a very good job of scraping the bowl. It’s not as sturdy as I thought it would be. Definitely not as sturdy as actual kitchenaid products. It was easy to clean and easy to attach/use and those are pluses.

Fits into my Kitchenaid 6 quart perfectly. Like my old one, you still have to scrape down the bowl from the top. But only once.

I bought this for my 6 qt kitchen aide, it doesn’t work!!! It ribs the bowl so much it won’t turn around. Waste of money.

Much better than the original beater but, still does not thoroughly clean off the insides of the bowl.

My mixer was listed as one the beater would fit, but it did not.

Tried others and they just did not work well nor hold up well. This one really worked for my 6QT model
