I wanted this nesting steamer rack set to supplement the dehydration trays I use with both my Instant Pots and my Ninja Foodi. Often, when the diced food is almost dry but not quite, I’ll take it off the trays and put it into a different pot just all jumbled together to keep drying while I load up the dehydrator trays with fresh food. I like these because I can have two tiers of nearly dry dices, which helps the air circulate and finish drying the pieces more evenly. And, of course, the baskets are great for what they were made for: steaming stuff. I don’t particularly like cooking meats in mesh baskets like these because they are then very hard to clean, but for vegetables they are really super. Even good for air frying if your pot does that.What I was really happy to see, though, is that the smaller, shorter steamer basket fits my 3 qt. Instant Pot that I tend to use to cook dinner for the two of us. It rests on the rim of the inner pot and works okay with the glass lid, which is all I need when reheating or steaming. Mainly, though, it gives me an extra space to drain pasta or canned goods so I can then pour the water out in the compost. I keep my smaller Instant Pot out on the countertop, so I don’t have to take up any extra space to use it this way.

Love these strainers! I use them in my Instant Pot, but I also use them to blanch veggies, strain pasta, lift hard boiled eggs out of the pan, and so many other uses. Easy to clean, easy to store. I pitched my plastic strainer. Going to order another set this year to give as a Christmas gift for my daughter in law.

Only used a few times, but the baskets are sturdy, easy to clean, and just the right sizes! A must have if you are cooking vegetables, eggs, and with their 2 tier nesting to keep food separate or just storing!

These baskets nest beautifully, which make them easy to store. They are well-made and sturdy. They fit perfectly in my 6 qt instapot and in a regular 6 quart pot. I often use the large one, in a regular pot, to steam vegetables.

I originally bought these to use with the IP air fryer lid. Altho I no longer have the lid, I kept these baskets because they’re very useful.
