- Blade Material: wood
- Brand: Bambüsi
- Color: Natural
- Blade Edge: Serrated
- Blade Length: 8 Inches
- SLICING GUIDE FOR CUTTING EVENLY: This bamboo bread slicer is the secret to getting even (as well as easier) slices. To make it maximully useful, a long and sharp knife comes along (with cool magnets to hold it in place), the guides have 3 sizes of thick or thinness, and the bottom is non-slip rubber.
- MULTI-PURPOSE SLICING: A loaf of homemade bread, bagels, cakes or any goodies that is up to 5.5” wide and 5” inches tall will fit into this bread slicer guide.
- FOLDABLE + COMPACT: Our bread cutter & bagel slicer looks beautiful enough to sit on the counter, but it’s also able to fold flat to fit in the cabinet. We’ve thrown a lovely flour sack bag with this bread slicer to keep it neat when in storage too.
- CATCHES CRUMBS: The wooden bread slicer comes with a crumb catching tray underneath to outsmarts the usual mess. This crumb tray can then turn into your serving tray and it also allows you to save and freeze breadcrumbs
- STURDY, QUALITY, ORGANIC BAMBOO: We constructed this cutting guide bread with 100% environmentally conscious bamboo. It is very solid and stable compared to plastic cutting boards and doesn’t break easily, even with lots of chopping.

100% unpaid and honest review here.Overall, this is a very nice, sturdy abd well built bread slicer. The knofe that comes with it is so far also very nice. It folds and unfolds easily, stores the extra piece and the knife quite well and while slightly shakey when cutting with it, really not bad at all. The bottom part you place it into catches all oftge crumbs. This is potentially a wonderful, near perfect piece, imho…with 1 caveat. (Read below)There are 2 things to consider here though, and one of them is a sort of major flaw which I moght be returming it over.1) it’s not adjustable for different width breads. Not a huge deal. I knew this and could tell when buying it. You can just hold the less wide breads up agsinst the far side when cutting. Problem solved. Easy peasy. Not a deal breaker.2) Here is the possible deal breaker. I included photos. We’ve only cut 1 and 1/2 small loaves of bread so far and just look at the deep gouges in the bottom already! My concern is that in less than a year or even the first 6 months. We will wind up slicing all the way through that bottom, rendering this item useless. If they could only have used a sturdier, thicker, treated wood instead of cheap bamboo just for the bottom part you cut onto. I mean. The bottom is literally a cutting board and should be a cutting board. Had they done that, this thing would be a 5 stars keeper. Shoot, I’d give it 10 stars then. I love everything else about it. Very sad the bottom of it isn’t up to par for it to last.If you don’t mind having to buy a new one 2 or 3x a year, then by all means..this is the one to buy. Or maybe you don’t cook bread all that often, so it won’t bother you if you can only use it for 20 loaves before you slice through the bottom slats. If that’s all you’re lookikg for, get it. You’ll love it.

I like that it’s attractive enough for cut-loaf presentation. I like that it’s heavy enough and has non-slide pads, so it doesn’t move around while cutting. I like that I can select the slice thickness easily, I like that it captures most of the crumbs from slicing (if I use an electric knife so some dispersion naturally occurs), I like that it unfolds easily for use and folds up nicely for storage and I like the heavy cloth “storage bag” and draw-rope that comes with it. I like just about everything about it except… two things. The “stop board” doesn’t have a nook to store in (like the manual knife does), so it remains “loose” in the storage bag, and the guides are not tall enough to align the knife blade when starting to cut – the home-baked loaf is typically 5 1/2 inches square and the guides are 4 1/2″ to 5″ tall, so I have to “eye-ball” the starting cut and hope to hit the center of the desired guide slots without adjusting the cut. If the guides were 6″ tall and there was an easy way to secure the guide board, this would be a solid 5 for everything. But it’s certainly “good enough” and better than the one I was using before, so I’m keeping it.NOTE: THOSE SAYING THEY CAN’T CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE LOAF BECAUSE OF THE SIDE RAILS HAVE NOT UNFOLDED THE RACK PROPERLY AND HAVE IT INSERTED “UPSIDE DOWN”.

I gave this 4 stars because of the included knife. But that’s the only drawback from an, otherwise, excellent bread cutting board. I use my own bread knife (longer and better cutting edge for bread). I use a bread machine and am, pretty much, the sole bread eater in my family. I cut my loaves in half, top to bottom, and freeze one half. This accomplishes two things: I can make one loaf last 2 weeks (1/2 loaf per week), and the half loaf fits perfectly in the guide for this bread board, without sticking out above the guides. I’m able to cut my slices (I use the widest end of the guide) consistently, and all the way through. Cut slowly, and don’t worry too much about the bottom of the board getting scratched. Works perfectly.

Earlier this year I started making several different whole grain/multi grain breads in my bread machine. The breads are dense, and I was having serious trouble cutting slices that could be used for sandwiches or placed in a two-slot toaster. Most of the time I was ending up with uneven — and often raggedy-edged — wedges instead of nice uniform slices. So I decided to get this Bamboo Bread Slicer Cutting Guide. I chose this design because it is bamboo and came with a knife. I am absolutely delighted with this slicing guide! Now I easily get uniform slices with no skinny, frayed sides. When I selected this slicer on Amazon, I noticed that it included a crumb tray, which I thought was a nice feature, but I had no idea how much easier that would make the process of slicing bread. Ninety-five percent of the crumbs go into the tray, which can be dumped and brushed out over the trash. No more crumbs all over the counter and onto the floor. This is very nicely made. The knife, which stores magnetically on the side of the slicer, is also good quality and works well on my heavy homemade loaves.

When I opened the package I thought I ordered the wrong item! It comes nicely packed with easy to understand directions and does a great job uniformly slicing bread. The magnetic attachment for the knife is a nice touch and the knife is certainly functional. I didn’t even realize it was included when I ordered it. The best part, the whole thing is $25. I went in to my account to see if I ordered something more expensive by accident, I was that impressed with it. Hard to go wrong at this price point, would make a very reasonably priced gift for someone as well, they will think you spent more!

Nice looking slicer and a really nice knife that comes with it. The side is magnetized to hold the knife. The only drawback I saw was the length of the knife would be better if it was a little longer. Sometimes cutting across the loaf it comes out of the far side and you have to stop and realign it. That was the “only” problem I had with it.It did a great job and cut really nice even slices.I do recommend this slicer.

If you have a bread machine then this is the best and in my opinion the most necessary tool. It provides the knife, the crumb catcher, and the guide for even slices. It folds neatly and easily into it’s cloth bag to put away for the next time it’s needed. Highly recommend.
