It eventually got jammed up internally and possibly damaged the blender itself. Even before it broke it was challenging to clean because it would internally accumulate this old brown juice and a few smoothies got contaminated by that.

Have only had for 3 months, how convenient the product is no longer operable and the return window has closed. I probably wouldn’t be writing this review if I was at least able to exchange it but that’s not the case. Worked great in the beginning, than started leaking as I have seen other people’s review with pictures and now the bearing has seized up. Save your money.

Purchased in August to have an extra blade. I almost purchased the Ninja brand blade from their website but wanted to save a few extra bucks. Started leaking after 3 months of pretty regular use. Had to throw it out and just purchased the Ninja brand replacement off the Ninja website. Save yourself the time and spend the few extra dollars and purchase from Ninja instead!!

I am on my second one. The first one stopped working (blades would not turn) within a couple weeks, so I returned it and they sent a replacement. That one worked great for a while, then started leaking, now (after 3 months) the blades will not turn and it caused the blender to start smoking!

Not sure what the life expectancy should be, but after using it for less almost a year with infrequent use, ie… maybe 2 or 3 times a month at most, it failed when blending a smoothie with mostly fresh fruit today. The blade shaft/gear began to seize, and when I stopped the motor and removed the cup, I noticed some smoke. I did not expect this failure so soon, especially after the OEM blender blade/lid lasted for years.
