I have bought 2 of these and broke 2 of these. I wish they were made out of metal. They are great for smaller batches but if you are making double batches or it is thick and stiff this will snap and fly across your kitchen. Another con is it will start to squeak and you’ll think your kitchen aid is broken but it’s just the paddle.

I have a Kitchenaid Pro 450, 4 1/2 quart, lift bowl mixer. I couldn’t find a flex edge to fit it so I ordered this one. It attached just fine but makes a scratching sound so I will see how it works.

I have a Kitchen Aid 5qt Professional Mixer that I’m using this attachment for.I gave this only 3 stars because this is a great tool if you are doing liquids (cakes, muffins, etc.). BUT if you do dryer ingredients, the scraper sends food EVERYWHERE! I was making sausage balls (flour, sausage, cheese, etc) and the scraper kept pushing food out the top of the bowl. Agh! So frustrating. I tried again using cream cheese & mayo to make cheese balls; it was good thing I had the bowl guard on or I would have had a REAL mess. I have used this attachment several times & each time I end up with food coming out of the bowl. I’m putting this one aside and on the hunt for a better tool.
