Unlike most of the consumer grade landfill fodder being sold these days, your KitchenAid mixer was designed to be serviced. When was the last time you relubed the gears? Is it starting to ooze some dark nasty oily stuff? That’s because the grease is breaking down into the oil and soap components and needs to be changed out, and this kit is perfect. You get more grease than is needed and a new gasket, instructions are all over this thing called the internet and it’s not rocket science. It is a bit messy. But then again so is cookie dough.

After watching and reading several online tutorials on regreasing a KitchenAid, I decided to give this a go. I was told when performing a regrease use no less than 5oz so I ordered two containers of this stuff. I used probably 6-7oz on the regrease. I’m hoping that is enough after seeing all the grease that was initially put into this mixer. It was slap full!!! Even 40 years later! I went through about a half role of paper towels removing it. I will probably try to do another regrease around 5 years. I turned on my machine and it works great from what I can tell. You could hear the grease shift around and get situated when you first turn it on after regreasing, but it goes away then it sounds great. Hoping it will hold up, and I put enough grease in there. 4 stars because I don’t think they give you enough initially. Would have preferred to pay a little extra for a 6 to 8oz container instead of buying two separate that come with a gasket each.
